OLD POST but awesome post ---- And Away We Go

So I have to admit I have been very slack in keeping up to date! I tried but Internet service in the middle of nowhere is tough to come by! So to recap we rolled into Lethbridge at 8:04 pm Friday August 14. A total of 3472 km and approx 33 hours of driving We arrived! The kids are very excited and so are we that the trip is FINALLY over for the next few weeks anyway! Then off to our new home WAHOO! Throughout the trip the kids got to see alot of neat things, gophers black bears, deer, moose and if you ask Brooke a zebra and giraffe. The kids are settling in quite well! They have asked a few times when we might be going home and although most have not noticed I choke back the tears and reply I do not know! They have talked to Nana and Papa a few times and they have lots of info for them! I on the hand am not not so excited anymore. Truth be told I am wondering if this was the right decision! I am sure that the last week is just crashing down on me but still trying not to cry is tough! Grandma and Grandpa are great but having your life in limbo for a unannounced period of time is hard! I have a great husband and wonderful kids so as always I am sure inn my heart tings will work out. It is is my head that is the problem! I am very glad to report that the kids are quite content and at peace no major mood changes or problems to report! My children are proof that kids really are resilient!

Sweet Sienna

My beautiful Graduate
June 2011
Sienna has been through so many changes this year! She has graduated and is now in Jr. High. OUCH! She has thrived in Army Cadets, she has had her first boyfriend, she got her nosed pierced and then removed it. She has gone from a "C" student to bringing home "A's". Sienna has flourished into a beautiful and very talented young woman. Her free time is normally spent on her cell phone or reading a book. Sienna excels in all she tries and she has really stepped out of her box. Sienna is looking forward to going to high school in September and going to camp in BC this July.

So Much Is Happening!

First and for most Fort McMurray has FINALLY become home! Not only physically but emotionally as well! The kids are settled and thriving. Both Sienna and Seth are now in Army Cadets and loving it! It has really made them come out of their shells. Dave and I have filed to become CIC's which simply means civilian instructors. Brooke gets to come and hang out and as a family we all love being involved and participating in Cadets. We are proud of Sienna and Seth.

Second Christmas/OUR HOME

Old House/First Christmas

in memory of their brother Nat!

We have purchased a home and it is so thrilling. I love having a place to call ours. We moved in just before Christmas which made for a very eventful Christmas holiday. But it was all worth it.The kids
ended up having two Christmas's as the timing with the move got a little jumbled. Dave and I did not
hear any complaining though.
